About

Allis Kim, MD, is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist at Orthopaedic Surgical Associates. She provides comprehensive care to patients of all ages and athletic backgrounds, specializing in advanced arthroscopic techniques of the knee and shoulder and robotic hip and knee replacements.

Dr. Kim emphasizes individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs, prioritizing conservative, nonoperative approaches whenever suitable. When surgery is necessary, she utilizes minimally invasive arthroscopic techniques to promote quicker recovery and optimal outcomes.

Dr. Kim earned her medical degree from Albany Medical College and completed her orthopaedic surgery residency, as well as her general surgery residency, at Albany Medical Center in Albany, New York. She furthered her expertise through a Sports Medicine Fellowship at the Hospital for Joint Disease/NYU Medical Center in New York City.

During her fellowship, Dr. Kim gained valuable experience providing medical care for professional and recreational athletes, contributing to her comprehensive approach to sports medicine. She is committed to advancing the field of orthopedics and sports medicine.

Outside of her practice, she enjoys spending time with her family, playing the piano, and working on the perfect chocolate chip cookie recipe.
